Our first stop on the West Coast was the Commenara Peninsula which juts out above Galway. We stayed at a B&B on the tip of the peninsula on a bay and it had stunning views. See for yourself.

Newgrange, just north of Dublin, dates back to 3000BC. Very little is known about it or the people who built it other than it's believed to be a Passage Tomb. Twice a year the light box above the entrance lets a ray of light through to the main tomb. A fascinating place. (Photos and video were not permitted inside the Passage Tomb)
