Blues Concert, Festival du Picsonne, Valloire, France

We saw a Blues Concert in a tiny mountain town of Valloire, France.  The town might be small but the talent at the festival was big.  Our two favorite groups were the Mountain Men (French singer/guitarist and exceptional Australian harmonica player) and the Suitcase Brothers, a band from Barcelona, Spain. The festival was called the Festival du Picsonne. Here are some photos of the bands (this is part 1 of 2).

Touvet Gardens and Chateau, France

Now we've left Ireland and return to France.

About halfway between Grenoble and Chambery in the French Alps is a tiny village of Touvet. For such a small town it has several interesting things to see including the Funicular (second steepest in Europe), the annual Costumed Parasailers Competition (Coupe Icare), and the Touvet Chateau and Gardens. Here are some photos of the latter.
