The Shimmering Spider Webs in the Fog in a Florida Garden

One foggy and hazy morning I looked out in the garden to find it dotted with white patches that I'd never seen before. I went out to investigate and found many spider webs from very productive spiders had appeared due to the droplets hanging precariously on the webs.

It reminded me that sometimes things are right in front of us but we can't see them until the circumstances are right.

Here are a few examples of their brilliant work.

Harnes Marsh, Lehigh Acres, Southwest Florida

For five years I didn't know this lovely marsh preserve and hiking trail existed and it's the prettiest trail I've been on in Florida. It's called Harnes Marsh and it's literally five minutes from the house. I started taking walks here regularly. The marsh is known for its beautiful birds. Here are a few photos of the marsh and bird life.
